Introduction:
As a class, we distributed our questionnaire to hundreds of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County residents. In our initial brainstorming sessions, we grouped residents by occupation or community position and ultimately solicited participation from individuals including but not exclusive to the following groups: elected leaders; city government employees; K-12 teachers and administrators; school system personnel and school board members; college and university administrators, faculty, and students; non-profit executives and employees; business professionals and executives; small business owners; religious leaders; medical administrators and personnel; foundation leaders and philanthropists; scientists and STEM researchers; and community organizers. These individuals were invited to respond to the following questions.

Questionnaire Results
110 community members responded to our questionnaire. To help us consider our findings, we categorized them into the following eleven occupations and community positions: K-12 teachers; higher education faculty; non-profit executives and employees; university administrators; STEM researchers; business professionals and executives; city government employees; religious leaders; university students; athletic coaches and administrators; and other professions.
The top three groups of respondents were K-12 teachers (31), higher education faculty (20), and non-profit executives and employees (15).
For our own information, we also categorized respondents by number of years living in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County. The data showed a clear trend as a majority of respondents have moved to Winston-Salem in the past ten years. However, while this period of time did represent the largest portion of respondents, there is also a substantial number of respondents who have lived in and around Winston-Salem for multiple decades.
Specific findings related to each specific question are described in the tabs beneath the "Overview" tab under the heading "Inquiry Project Findings."
